You can help!
There are many ways you can get involved and help us with our mission. We invite you to become a member, adopt-a-bird, make a one-time donation, help us with our wish list, or volunteer your time.

  Adopt-a-bird program
For your participation you will receive a photo of the bird that you have sponsored, and an "Adoption Certificate." Your donation helps with the cost of feeding and caring for "your" bird for one year. [top]

Rusty the Red Tail Hawk

$100

In 1990, Rusty was found with one leg and one wing caught in coyote traps. The leg healed, but the wing was damaged to the point where this hawk cannot fly.

Cindy the Harris Hawk
$100

In 1988, Cindy was rescued from a landowner in Lancaster. Her cage was a window air conditioner shell. A broom handle served as her only perch. The sheet metal floor pan was a 1 inch thick mass of maggots, animal grease and rotting meat. Her wing and tail feathers were broken down to stubs.

C.J. the Black Vulture
$100

C.J. was found as a downy chick by some people hiking through the Trinity River bottoms in 1991. When his eyes developed, he saw humans as his parents, so he thinks he's human, too. He has participated in hundreds of education programs.
